McCownGordon’s fourth office will become its first outside Missouri and Kansas

One of Kansas City’s largest general contractors is expanding beyond Missouri and Kansas for the first time, after a yearlong process of researching several cities.

McCownGordon Construction will open a new office in Texas, supplementing existing locations in Kansas City, Manhattan and Wichita.

In the Dallas-Fort Worth area, the company said it has built up a backlog of work and strong potential for additional opportunities, in addition to identifying a significant pipeline for talent in the region.
