Retro-Commissioning at McCownGordon is designed to reduce building energy loss.

Identify and meet energy efficiency and performance goals through our extensive property review against comparable property benchmarks.

Retro-commissioning can prove to be the most important building efficiency process implemented for your buildings.

Most waste in commercial buildings is invisible in day-to-day operations, similar to what happens under the hood of a car. From broken dampers/valves or HVAC system design problems to unwarranted human interaction with temperature controls can create significant energy waste, even leading to simultaneous heating and cooling.

Our specialized, experience commissioning team can create a detailed engineering evaluation focused on energy savings, including low-cost or no-cost energy saving measures (generally over a 2-year payback period). Commissioning an existing building goes beyond day-to-day maintenance by addressing high energy costs and resolving operational problems. This includes an assessment of existing mechanical and HVAC systems, lighting, service water systems and automatic controls.
